On 3 November 2007, the construction of the Park commenced. It took three years and required 12,370 tons of steel to create its structure, the Eiffel tower needed only about 7,000 tons. The Park has the largest space frame structure that was ever built, and it took a whopping 14 months just to clad the 200,000m2 roof.
